College is a pivotal moment in a person’s life where beliefs are considered and strengthened. So at Highland Park Pres we are committed to ministering to and nurturing college students down the road at SMU, in Dallas, and college students who return home on summer and holiday breaks. Many of our events happen at the College House (3833 McFarlin Blvd, Dallas). If you ever need transportation for any events or for worship at one of HPPC's Sunday morning services, please email Jonathan Hicks, director of HPPC's College Ministry.
Come meet us and some new friends, eat fajitas, and hang out in the park between Boaz and Morrison-McGinnis (corner of Bishop Blvd and Binkley Ave on SMU Campus).
We will meet at the HPPC College House (3833 McFarlin Blvd, Dallas), down the street from SMU, for a home-cooked meal and Bible study. Rides available from the flagpole on SMU campus at 5:50 pm (contact Jonathan for more info on rides). *Note: The Den will not meet on Sunday, Sept. 6 because of Labor Day weekend.
The Den college Bible Study
(Fall & Spring)
Our main weekly gathering is on Sunday nights at 6 pm for The Den, a home-cooked dinner and Bible study. We meet at the College House, which is located across the street from HPPC.
The Den hopes to be a “home away from home” for college students. Our goal is to help students grow as lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
Some of the ways you can be involved: come to The Den on Sunday nights, come to HPPC on Sundays for worship, Boulevard with us on SMU game days, be in a small group, go on a mission trip to Haiti, mentor high school students at HPPC, help on a Habitat build with us in Dallas, go on a ski trip over winter break, be mentored by an adult from HPPC and more!
Away College Ministry
(Summer & Winter Holidays)
We have many students that have grown up at HPPC and have left Dallas to attend college. We want to help you remain connected to HPPC while you are away and we also want to help you find a place to grow in your walk with Christ while off at college. Below is a list of our summer activities:
- Summer Bible Study - Join us for a summertime study at the College House
- Summer Social Gatherings - Rangers Game, Top Golf, etc.
- Summer Mission Trip - College students participate in an international mission trip.
