Global Day of Prayer at Highland Park Presbyterian Church

Day 3, Saturday, May 19

Being filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT

For God to pour out His Spirit upon all
Concerning: intellectual pride, demonic oppression, spiritual blindness, depression

For the Glory of Christ

  • For the Church to be filled afresh with God’s Spirit, empowered as Christ’s witnessing servants in the world.
  • For the Spirit of God to reveal Jesus to those buried in spiritual darkness.

For the Blessing of the Nations

  • That God would pour out His Spirit upon every person alive on the earth.
  • That the Spirit of God would awaken the nations to hear His voice and to see His works (Acts 2:33).
  • For many to be stirred by Spirit-given dreams to envision Jesus alive and at work in their lives.

Pray for HPPC missionaries home on furlough:

  • Richard & Wendy Yancey (West Africa) – Healing for some medical issues needs to happen in order to be able to go back to Africa: Richard regarding healing of esophagus from the inflammation and Rachel (2 years old) diagnosis and treatment for lack of weight gain
  • Don & Martha Wehmeyer (Mexico) – Transitioning back to Mexico this summer after a year long furlough; Kristen (19) & Valarie (21) who will be staying in the US to study;

Pray for HPPC missionaries in transition:

  • Andrew & Teri Adair – pray for the founding of The Antioch Partnership (a ministry within the PC (USA) that will work with global partnership
  • Hunter & Ruth Farrell – Hunter has accepted a new position as the Director of the General Assembly Council’s World Mission program. Pray for wisdom and guidance in this transition.

Transformation Dallas is a momentous Christ-centered series of events focused on prayer, repentance, blessing and celebration, occurring May – August. It is built around global and national prayer movements, a region-wide celebration, and city-wide transformational projects.
