Personal Discipleship
Meyercord Library
The Meyercord Library serves HPPC and our community with an outstanding
collection of religious reference materials, as well as well-stocked
biography and history sections. We also have current fiction and
non-fiction books and several donated book collections.
There are large print books and books on tape for the visually impaired
and videotapes for check-out from both the adult and youth libraries.

CHECK-OUT POLICY
The Meyercord Library provides valuable resources for our church
members, and we need our materials returned in a timely fashion so that
the entire church community may benefit from them.
The following is our Library Policy effective April 12, 2006:
- All books will be considered overdue when not returned by the
duedate or renewal date, and attempts will be made to contact the
patron by phone during the first week the material is past due.
-
An overdue fine of .15 a day will be charged beginning approximately
one week after the book is past due (after an overdue card has been
sent).
- Books may be renewed once for two weeks, (with an
option for a second renewal for two weeks at the Librarian’s
discretion.) Renewals may be done in person or by phone– (leaving a
message at X1277 is fine to renew a book).
- A Past Due Card
will be sent to the patron after the book is over one week past due,
reminding them that the book is still out, and needs to be returned or
renewed. Past due fines will begin when the past due card is sent, but
may be waived at the discretion of the Librarian.
- A Past Due
Letter will be sent to the Patron after the past due card has been sent
and at least two weeks has gone by with no response. Past Due fines
and/or replacement cost for a lost book will be notated in the letter.
Buying a replacement copy of the book (new or used) and donating it to
the Library is considered fine as payment for a lost book.
-
Check-out privileges may be suspended for persons who have more than 5
books overdue, or who have not returned a book after it is six weeks or
more past due. This is at the discretion of the Librarian.
