Lent in the Living Room
Lent is an important time in the life of the church. Just as Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness fasting and praying before beginning his ministry (Matthew 4:1-11), the church today spends the 40 days of Lent praying and preparing for our Easter celebration.
This Lent, our church-wide sermon series will focus on Praying through the Psalms. As we face uncertain times in an ever-changing world where truth seems to be relative, and the church seems to become less and less relevant in our culture, it is important that we slow down the pace of life and get back to the basics of prayer.

March 15-19 is Spring Break for HPISD
Some groups may choose not to meet that week. March 15-19 is scheduled to be Week 5 of the six week study. If your group decides not to meet during spring break then have the group read the text for Week 5 on their own, but move on to the text for Week 6 and discuss it for Week 6. All text is important, but it is more important that your group stays on pace each week with the sermon series.
