STREAM Parents & Volunteers
Parents-
Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in introducing your students to a life of following Jesus. We take this task very seriously and love doing what we do. A great testimony of how this partnership works is the number of you who serve as Sunday Morning volunteers. Many of you lead small groups, some welcome and sign in students, others manage our crazy donut ministry while a few of you just wander around and love kids through hugs. We are very dependent on your involvement in this ministry and want to thank you for taking the time to be a part.
A ministry as large as Stream Youth has many different parts. From crazy 5-6 graders in the gym on Sunday nights, junior high students serving in Mexico and high school students skiing down mountains in Colorado. There is just a lot going on and hopefully some of what we do will peak your students interest.
We want to encourage you to get your students involved. Please consider getting them to attend one of our many trips, retreats and missions events. It’s simple math that if your student spends a long weekend with us we will have interacted with them more than an entire year of Sunday mornings.
Here’s 4 quick places that we are always in need of parental help.
- Join a committee- Doesn’t sound like fun? Well sometimes they are not but this is the place where much discussion goes on about the ministries and it’s the perfect place for you to share ideas and to listen to others.
- Lead or Host a small group- 5-8th grade small groups happen on Sunday Mornings. 9-12th grade small groups happen on Wednesday nights and a few times on Sundays.
- Come on a trip- There is sometimes this awkward belief that your students don’t want you on trips with them. Let’s just squash that and say that there are many trips and retreats that are perfect for you to be involved in.
- Pray for the staff, the students and the activities. We never want to lead this ministry on our own and really need you to lift it up in prayer.
