The Sailor’s Bible will be presented on Sunday, April 30 at 5 pm by the Canterbury Choir (grades 4-6) and the Chorister Choir (grades 2-3). The writers of the Bible frequently used the ocean as a symbol for the chaos of life that is beyond our control. Only the power of God is greater than the natural forces of wind and wave; only the presence of God can bring peace to the hurricanes of life. Each of the three stories about the sea, performed with a childlike playfulness and a generous measure of humor and hope, gives hope and promise that God is ultimately and always in control.
Dinner will be served after the performance. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children payable at the door. Dinner reservations are required, so please RSVP to Gay Munselle.
