Ethel & Frank Robbins
Frank and Ethel went to Mexico under Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1950 and spent 21 years living there. In 1972 they were sent to Dallas to establish a training program, which continues today. In 1975, Frank became CEO for Wycliffe and their field organization, the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL). After stepping down from the CEO position, he served as Area Director for 6 years. In 1990 he was made President and Chair of the Board of SIL until 1999. They formally retired from Wycliffe and SIL in 2004 but continue to serve as volunteer helpers.
