Tuesdays

Moms After God’s Heart

Begins: January 10
Study
: Choose Joy by Kay Warren
When: Tuesdays, 9:30–11:15 am
Where: H018

Ever wonder why some people seem to experience joy in their daily lives--even in the tough times--and others can't seem to find it no matter how hard they search? Is a joy-filled life really possible? The answer is yes! And it's possible for every woman, no matter what her circumstances may be. Choose Joy will empower women who feel like their emotions and well-being are at the mercy of others by helping them understand the life-giving truth that joy is within their grasp--every day. Led by Anne Blakeney and Ellen Rain.

Lunch Bunch

Begins: January 17
Study
: Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer
When: Tuesdays, 11:30–1 pm
Where: H020

This Bible study is designed to help participants know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God's voice from the voice of strangers. Led by Janie Bell.

Sisters Loved by God

Begins: January 17
StudyEntrusted: A Study of 2 Timothy by Beth Moore
When: Tuesdays, 6:30–8 pm
Where: H020

We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. Join us in a 6-session Bible study. Led by Deborah Fugit.

Wednesdays

Women in the Word

Begins: January 18
Study: Life Guide — 1 Samuel
When: Wednesdays, 9:45–11:30 am
Where: H018

The large group is led by Ashley Smith followed by small group time for discussion.

Young Adult Women

Begins: January 18
Study: Kelly Minter's Nehemiah: A Heart that can Break
When: Wednesdays, 10–11:30 am
Where: Parlor

Nehemiah's heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. This study challenges women to let God break their hearts for a hurting, lost world and move them in compassion to lead people to Jesus. Join a group of (mostly, but not all) 30-something women, as we use the DVD sessions to springboard our discussion, then find real-life ways to put feet to our faith. Email Erin Hicks with any other questions.

thursdays

Early Birds

Begins: January 12
Study
Romans 1-7: The Gift of God by Timothy Keller
When: Thursdays, 7:30–8:30 am
Where: Bridesmaids Room

We want to be right in the eyes of the law of our land, of those we respect, of our loved ones, of those we work with. We strive to gain and then keep this right standing. But there is another, far better and more important righteousness. A righteousness which changes and liberates every aspect of our lives, and yet which none of us can earn or maintain ourselves. It s a righteousness from God.  These seven studies will help you to understand one of the most-read, most written-about parts of the Bible. Led by Tricia Hight

Precepts

Begins: January 5
Study
: Kay Arthur’s Precept Study – Galatians
When: Thursdays, 9–10:30 am
Where: H018

Led by Jennifer Tollett.

Monthly Study Registration

1 and 2 Peter and Jude by N.T. Wright
How does a Christian behave when surrounded by a hostile world that doesn't understand who we are or why we do what we do? In three letters, Peter and Jude provide some answers: Abandon the old pagan ways. Learn the new habit of love. Put on the mental armor that will make you strong to face suffering that may come. These nine studies from Tom Wright show you the wisdom of their words for us today and remind you, in the midst of hardship, that the God who deserves all praise is still "the one who is able to keep you standing upright." Led by various trained Bible study leaders.
